Yes, there certainly should be a law. There should be legislators and laws that keep elites from profiting on the trafficking of the vulnerable. That recognize that pornography does not belong where little ones and teens can view it or have it displayed in schools. That understand that human dignity is God-given to all people, including the poverty stricken around the world, men and women in prison, those that are mentally ill and yes, even those carried in someone’s womb. We need laws that support the specific rights listed in our Constitution. This is where our Catholic values come into play.
Suncoast Catholics exists to bring our Catholic values to the forefront in dealing with those who legislate and the laws they create. The word “Politics” almost immediately calls up the partisan party idea, but we aren’t partisan. No party has a lock on our values so we will support any person who wants to work as a legislator or administrator to write and pass laws that are based on God’s word, because following His way is the only way to peace, whether in the family, the city, the state or the nation. We invite you to participate.
